This morning I worked out at my local gym with my shorts on backwards – the whole time. So I got that going for me.
That’s not the only thing I’ve ever had backward in my life. We go about a lot of things backwards. When it comes to having a faith that works in the real world it’s helpful to understand how God works and not go about things “backwards.” Certain ways of living “fit” better than others. This is particularly true when it comes to sustaining healthy, life-giving relationships when they hit rough stretches. James 3:13-4:12 has some wisdom for us along these lines this weekend. Bring your open heart and a friend as we continue to grow in our understanding and practice of “a faith that works” in the real world. If you missed last weekend, or any message in this series on James, don’t forget the opportunity to listen/watch online.
So much is happening at The Branch right now. Graduations, summer interns arriving, GO week, VBS, various mission trips and summer camps are all just around the corner! Make sure you stay apprised on happenings and opportunities through our monthly magazine, Branch Out, and our weekly events email.
Grace and Peace,
See you this weekend!
