Built to Spill
If you spend any time serving in Kids Branch, you know that kids and containers full of liquid are a dangerous mix. Spills are inevitable. Spills are messy and distracting. But this week, I want every class and small group to experience spills of a different nature. And I want each and every one of us to do the spilling.
I want to encourage everyone to guard your time alone with God closely. I hope and pray that all of us are intentional this week in spending time with God: reading the Bible, praying with Him, listening to Him. I hope and pray that you are filling your hearts to overflowing with all the wisdom and knowledge and love that God has for you. I pray your heart is so full, you can't help but come to Kids Branch on Sunday and spill all that goodness all over our kids.
"Out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks." Luke 6:45
We can't give what we don't have. We can't give of ourselves, when inside we are empty and dry. This is why it's important for each of us to spend time during the week with God, and come together for celebration worship and Chris' teaching in one of our weekend assemblies. Before you can share it, you have to possess it yourself.
Soak up as much of God as you can, so you can come to Kids Branch and spill him all over the place.
