Come On In, The Water's Fine!
October 29, 2015
What fabulous Fall weather! We’ve just returned from our annual staff retreat, and I’ve again been reminded that it is a blessing to work alongside so many wonderful people. We also love serving alongside you in the mission of God at The Branch!
We’re nearing the end of the Explore God series. I’m looking forward to sharing one final message reflecting on the question, “Can I Know God Personally?”
We’re wrapping this series up with a special invitation for people to follow Jesus in the experience of baptism. We’ll do it this coming weekend at the VR Campus, and the following weekend at the FB Campus.
While at our retreat this week, I took a few minutes to shoot an impromptu video reflecting on the meaning of baptism in light of Scripture. It’s not very long, and could be helpful for those who’ve wondered why baptism is such a big deal.
If you’ve never been baptized or have come into a deeper understanding of what it means to follow Jesus and wish to erect a “spiritual signpost” in your life, I invite you to do it this coming weekend at VR, or the following weekend at FB. I’ll be in the water both places. Come on in, the water’s fine!
We have everything you need, including changing rooms, towels, and baptismal garments. While it’s not necessary, if you’re planning on being baptized, it would be helpful for us to know at which campus and service. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can be prepared to receive as many as possible. I’ll also share with you a few more helpful instructions for this coming weekend.
Grace and Peace,
See You This Weekend!
