But God, who comforts the downcast . . . . (2 Corinthians 7:6)
If you’ve missed either of the last two weekends in this short series on suicide and depression, I encourage you to watch or listen online. Depression comes in different sizes and can be rooted in different sources. I’ll be reflecting on this, as well as sharing where we find depression intersecting with places and people in Scripture.
There is a freedom from the oppression of depression! I do hope that you’ll come and bring someone with you who may be struggling with depression, or who cares for someone who is. This weekend will be candid, practical, and hopeful, by the grace of God.
Jaron Pitts took an eight-minute piece out of my sermon this week and posted it on The Branch’s Facebook page as a resource for you to share in your spheres of influence. It was the part on the “falling man.” You can find it here. Of course, the whole message can be viewed on our link at the bottom of this page.
THE NEXT BRANCH ORIENTATION
Our next orientation for people wanting to find out more about The Branch or who are ready to officially dive in and become a part of The Branch is September 9th on both campuses. For all our Cowboy fans, you’ll be home in plenty of time for kickoff! For more info and to register: http://www.thebranchchurch.org/the-branch-orientation.
See You Thursday Night or Sunday!
Grace and Peace,
