"Have You Found Jesus, Gump?"
“Have you found Jesus, Gump?”
“Lieutenant Dan, I didn’t know I was supposed to be looking for Him.”
The truth is, Jesus looks for us. All of us. He came to seek and save the lost. We can be lost anywhere and in virtually anything -- lost in religion, addiction, greed, pride, bitterness, and all those other suburbs of darkness. We speak of finding Him, yet He was pursuing us long before we began pursuing Him.
One of the ways He pursues us is through calling us. This past weekend, we launched a new series “The Calling.” We’re touring some of the great stories of people being “called” in Scripture. They have much to offer us as we think through our own “calls” and how we respond. This weekend, we’ll explore the story of the call of Moses in Exodus 3-4. Take a few moments, read it, and come with a hungry heart and friends in tow!
ELDER RECOMMENDATIONS DUE THIS WEEKEND
This weekend is the deadline for us to turn in our recommendations for those to serve a four-year term as an elder at The Branch. This can be done online as well. You can read more about the role of an elder and the recommendation process, and make your recommendations here.
LAST FRIDAY NIGHT
What a treasure this last Friday night was for so many dads and daughters in our church, and even from our community! Thanks to our incredible Next Gen ministry team and diligent volunteers who made our Princess Ball a night to remember!
See You Thursday night or Sunday!
