MORPH – Week 5, Thursday

TODAY'S READING

We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. (2 Corinthians 4:10-11)

Thursday, February 11

John Paton was a missionary to the South Sea Islands. He once arrived by ship at an island inhabited by cannibals. He was warned by those operating the ship that he was in danger of dying on that island. It’s said that Paton responded, “We died before we came here.”

There’s something to be said for making the decision early to “die to ourselves.” It takes care of a lot of other “decisions” later.

Let’s make the decision early that He might be revealed through us to others today.

Grace and peace,

Chris
