Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit…(Ecclesiastes 7:9)
It’s to one’s glory to overlook an offense…(Proverbs 19:11)
This weekend is the first of a 3-part series “Off-Ended.” We live in a culture of “offense” today.
Some are increasingly offended by any manner of word or deed by others. Others are struggling to move beyond the serious offenses of others. And still others are struggling with being offended by God and His ways. We’re going to talk about these things for the next three weekends. Do you know someone who could benefit? Come with friends in tow!
There’s stability and freedom that await! This week we’ll explore how to transcend the destructive pattern of being all too easily offended.
COMING IN DECEMBER
On December 2nd we’ll begin a journey through the gospel of Luke that will take us to Easter. As with our journeys through the gospels of Mark and John, there will be a resource that we will use to help us along the way. I’m excited about distributing it later this month! It will not be in digital form this time. You will have it in hand and I will explain why later.
Will you be praying about who you’ll ask to join you for our very first week (Dec. 2nd) in the gospel of Luke? We’ll see to it that they get the resource as well when they come. There’s no better time to introduce people to the story of Jesus than Christmas time. Hearts are already open to spiritual considerations. Let’s work together for the good of others and the glory of God.
See You Thursday Night or Sunday!
Grace and Peace,
