The prominent actor Will Smith was being interviewed this week. In the course of the interview he spoke about the power of diversity saying, “Diversity is our nation’s superpower.”
There’s a lot to be said for the power of diversity. After all, the book of Revelation depicts the heavenly realms being made up of saints from every nation, tribe, and tongue. A church of diversity under the name of Jesus can be a powerful testimony to the presence of the kingdom of God in our midst.
I’m thinking of diversity in a different way, right now in light of our Morph series. There are a diversity of stories among us when it comes to addiction, sin, and personal adversities. In one sense, the diversity of stories can be a “superpower” of our church. With the diversity of stories comes a capacity to reach a wider margin of people in our culture desperately in need of the wholeness Jesus brings.
Bring someone with you for week 3 of Morph. Circulate the links you'll find on Facebook and Twitter for the first couple of messages and testimonies of Morph. And if you missed last weekend’s message, check it out on the link below.
Sow the seed. Pray for hearts. Make the invitation. There’s someone out there in our network of relationships who’s one invitation away from a new beginning.
Finally, there are orientations on both campuses this coming weekend, if you’d like to know more about The Branch or take another step toward finding your place here and join us in the mission of God. You may register here.
Grace and Peace,
See You This Weekend!
