Strange Things This Weekend - Parental Guidance Advised :)
This last Sunday, a middle school student and his mom came to pray with me following one of our services. His mom told me that he’s been thinking about being baptized ever since he returned from Branch Camp this past summer. She went on to share that his processing of the gospel of Jesus had sparked something within her. It’s been a few months since Branch Camp, but the seed is growing, and people in that young man’s family are being impacted – people beyond him.
When we invest the gospel in one person, it rarely stays with just one person. But a seed can’t bear fruit if it’s not planted. Turn the gospel loose this week and see what happens.
Our journey through Joshua brings us to some strange stories in Joshua 5 this weekend. While I won’t be graphic in explaining one of the stories, if your children attend the service, they might ask you a question. Or two. Curious? Read Joshua 5, and I’ll see you this weekend. It actually has some very powerful implications for our lives.
We’re a little less than a month away from the weekend of November 12th. Please continue to be in prayer in regard to our Beyond Me campaign. Should you have any questions regarding what you are reading about the proposal, process, due diligence, etc., please don’t hesitate to contact David Teutsch, our executive minister, or me.
See You Thursday night or Sunday!
