The Best For Last
He’s saved the best for last. The best part of Revelation is the last part. We’ll wrap up our journey through Revelation this week by wading into John’s vision of heaven in Revelation 21-22. Don’t miss it, and make sure you read it before coming to a service. You’ll be in a position to get more out of the message. If you’re going to be gone this weekend, don’t forget our first service of the weekend on Thursday night at the VR Campus at 6:45 pm (homemade dinner at 6!).
Speaking of heaven, this last message in Revelation will actually set up our new series on heaven beginning next week! This series will have some very real practical implications for our lives in some surprising ways. Don’t sell it short. It’s not going to be all “pie in the sky.”
In the course of this series, I will take some time to address some commonly asked questions I’ve received through the years. Regarding some questions, Scripture speaks more clearly than for others. These are questions such as, “What happens when I die? Will we really know each other there? Will there be stuff to do? I lost a child. What will they look like? Will I see them as an adult? Will we have a memory of our time on earth?”
I look forward to this last weekend in Revelation and our upcoming series on heaven.
In the meantime, let’s continue to pray and live the prayer Jesus taught us to pray. “Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
As followers of Jesus, we’re called to give “previews” on earth for the coming attraction that is heaven. Let’s do this!
Finally, I’m so grateful for the strong messages our student ministers Josh Brake and Kyle Poff brought to our campuses this past weekend! Thank you for the way you received their word and encouraged them.
See You This Weekend!
