I had the privilege this morning, the day after Christmas, of baptizing a college student into Christ. Like the song we sing at this time of year – “Born to raise the sons (and daughters) of earth . . . born to give them second birth.” She gets the point of Christmas.
We were blessed with our largest crowds ever for our Candlelight services this past weekend. Thanks to many of you who served and many of you who brought guests with you! If you missed the service, the message is now online and on our app.
This space between Christmas Day and a new year can be sacred for moments of reflection over the past year and, yes, resolutions for the coming year. Even our dog is in the midst of reflection. Just look at her immersed in Scripture!
In all serious, because Jesus has come, change is possible!
Our journey through the Gospel of Luke will continue this weekend. It’ll be a perfect story for this weekend since adults and kids will be worshipping together which has been our tradition on the weekend following Christmas. We’ll be in Luke 2:41-52, the story of Jesus in the Temple, and a little “family chaos” in Jesus’ own family.
Remember there is no Thursday night service this week. Thursday nights will return next week!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
