Here are 3 simple, but meaningful ways to jump-start your group discussion this week.
1. Acts 2 begins with an incredible description of something that obviously would be hard to communicate to someone who wasn't there. What are some "you just had to be there" moments from your own life? Try to share it--it's hard isn't it? Ask a few people in your group (maybe even before hand) to try and share a "you had to be there".
2. At The Branch, we say a disciple is someone who is Connecting, Growing, Serving and Going. After you read (and reread) Acts 2.1-13 make a list of examples of each one of these components. (For example: "they were all together in one place" -- that could be a pretty good indication of connecting.)
3. Let your group brainstorm ideas of how they have experienced each component of discipleship: Connecting, Growing, Serving and Going.
