What Jesus Meant For Learning, Literacy, And Technology?
He was supreme in the beginning and – leading the resurrection parade – he is supreme in the end. (Colossians 1:18, The Message)
What do the origin of universities, literacy, scientific study, and the education of children all have in common? Jesus! In our Game Changer series this coming weekend we will explore what Jesus had to do with philosophically setting things in motion for scientific discovery, education, and even progress in technology over the last two thousand years. Say what? Isn’t that a bit of a stretch? Come and consider the ripple effect of Jesus and add another conversation piece with people in your network of relationships as you seek to put a good word in for Jesus. It’d be another great weekend to introduce someone to The Branch and, more importantly, to Jesus!
If you missed last weekend’s message on what Jesus has meant for women everywhere over the last 2000 years, I hope you’ll take some time and watch/listen this week.
I’m fired up about doing a special teaching on the meaning and mystery of baptism this coming Thursday night at Celebrate Recovery at 7 pm at the Vista Ridge Campus. If you’ve been curious about CR or have had some questions about baptism – it’d be a great night to check things out!
Finally, I have some big news to share with you this weekend. Go ahead and put February 7th on your calendar. That’s all I’ll say about that for now!
Grace and Peace,
See you this weekend!
