Winning The Battle On Our Knees
Seriously? Already a record snowfall for the month of March in Dallas! Can you imagine what the total snowfall amount might be by the end of this month? Amazing!
Speaking of amazing, what a blessing Jason Bernick’s testimony and message has been across both campuses over the last couple of weekends. Thank you for the way you received him.
I’m thankful everything will be thawed out by this weekend because I’m excited about sharing with you the final message of our “In Christ” series out of Ephesians 1:13-14. We’ll be exploring what it means to be sealed with the Spirit of God. “Signed, sealed, and delivered” will, perhaps, have a whole new meaning to many of us.
A WORD ABOUT OUR 24 HOUR PRAYER-AND-FAST
Beginning Friday evening, we’re entering into a 24 hour season of fasting and prayer in regard to the launch of a third campus. We’ll wrap it up with a special update/time-of-prayer/meal on Saturday night at 6:30 pm, at the Vista Ridge Campus following our 5:00 pm Saturday service. Please register here to help us plan for the meal and childcare. You’ll also find a prayer guide in regard to the third campus on the registration link. And, if for varied reasons, you didn’t fast, please don’t let it stop you from coming to the 6:30 pm gathering!
Let me say a quick word about these 24 hours of prayer beginning Friday evening. For most of us, a little fasting and plenty of water does our bodies “good” and puts us in a position to be persistently mindful to pray for breakthrough on a number of levels in regard to the mission of Jesus. As you go through stretches of prayer during these 24 hours, envision the faces of people you know and love who you long to come into the full freedom found through following Jesus. Among these people may be someone in your own family, or a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker.
The church is the only military I know of on the planet that wins its battles on its knees.
Grace and Peace,
See You This Weekend!
